This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the complete analytics lifecycle for leadership and essential stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of impactful reports.
• Act as the primary analytics expert for high-profile client requests, providing consultancy to create solutions that tackle intricate healthcare business issues.
• Set and maintain data integrity standards by leading peer code reviews and offering expert advice on SQL optimization and complex logic verification.
• Supervise the reporting roadmap and project lifecycle using Jira and Confluence, ensuring clear communication of project updates.
• Convert complex healthcare insights into engaging narratives and presentations that connect technical intricacies with critical business decisions.
• Direct high-priority routine and ad-hoc analyses, including internal and external audits, delivering insights within expedited timelines.
• Detect bottlenecks in the data lifecycle and collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Architecture teams to create automated, scalable solutions.
• Allocate approximately 60% of time to writing SQL and/or Looker code for reporting and custom analyses, 20% to teamwork, and 20% to stakeholder communication.
• At least 8 years of experience in healthcare analytics, particularly focused on healthcare claims data, population health, and member experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the claims lifecycle and the subtleties involved in reporting logic.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for large-scale healthcare data environments.
• Experience in creating visualizations and models using Looker or similar BI tools like Tableau.
• Proven ability to quickly master new data environments and complex healthcare schemas with little training.
• Experience in replacing manual processes with automated triggers or self-service tools.
• Capability to identify common data patterns across a range of requests to enhance the effectiveness of every tool or dashboard developed.
• Proficient in Agile project management tools such as Jira for task management and Confluence for documentation of processes.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders while effectively articulating business context to technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
