Lead Game Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Grasp the intricacies of AI game design and ensure it is clearly understood by the development team.

• Evaluate game designs from a technical perspective, recommending enhancements that minimize technical scope and mitigate risks.

• Maintain code quality and oversee the management of technical debt.

• Establish team workflows, including code reviews, automated testing, ticket granularity, and the number and format of synchronization meetings.

• Guarantee the integrity of technical designs.

• Evaluate developers' competencies and communicate expectations clearly.

• Ensure a sustainable pace for delivering new features.

• Confirm that no bugs hinder the playtesting process of the project.

• Act as the primary contact for the project concerning the implementation of gameplay features.

• Collaborate closely with producers and game designers.

• Evaluate the feasibility of the roadmap for the development of gameplay features and escalate any identified risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient programming skills in C++.

• Proven experience in a leadership role for gameplay.

• 1 out of 3: Experience in optimizations OR experience in animations OR experience with Unreal Engine.

• Bonus: Experience in developing AI systems or enemies.
