This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Lead project teams and manage disciplines, ensuring the timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.
• Prepare deliverable documents such as narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in client meetings and spearhead coordination efforts between external and internal project teams.
• Assess and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures independently to bring a project from concept to construction.
• Expertise in mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design.
• Independently design and develop layouts for fire protection systems.
• Formulate effective project teams.
• Create project work plans, assign tasks, and set responsibilities for team members.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary coordination.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes and fire protection standards (NFPA).
• Supervise engineering calculations and the selection of equipment.
• Conduct site visits and generate issue reports.
• Mentor and provide training and guidance to staff members.
• Update master specifications and standards while enhancing company processes.
• Cultivate relationships with clients.
• Assess fire protection and plumbing system needs for various types of buildings.
• Ensure adherence to the project quality management plan (QMP).
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering relevant to the discipline or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional credentials (e.g., PE, CPD).
• Minimum of 7 years of related work experience required.
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Advanced understanding of fire protection design concepts and code knowledge, with the capability to effectively communicate design alternatives.
• Strong skills in delegation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of relevant plumbing codes and standards, including UPC, IPC, NFPA, and IBC.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.
• AutoSprink experience is preferred.
