This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Act as the lead hands-on engineer for hybrid and Azure-based infrastructure solutions.
• Design, deploy, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and provide support for Azure services and hybrid integrations.
• Assist with Azure provisioning requests and infrastructure modifications alongside architecture, engineering, application, and MSP teams.
• Review and validate infrastructure changes executed by MSP for Azure and hybrid environments.
• Offer technical oversight, mentorship, guidance, and direction to MSP teams.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for intricate cloud, hybrid, and edge-related incidents.
• Support environments connected to Azure-enabled manufacturing, plants, and sites.
• Collaborate on infrastructure designs, standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Work together with Cloud & DevOps, Network Services, and Security teams.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and technical runbooks.
• Identify enhancements for platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to automation efforts using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Engage in design reviews and provide technical insights into infrastructure standards and best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be taken into account.
• Over 8 years of experience in engineering and supporting Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Azure IaaS services and core Azure platform functionalities.
• Familiarity with integrating and supporting on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and manage escalations for complex production infrastructure challenges.
• Experience in deploying, configuring, and supporting Azure compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
• Strong grasp of hybrid cloud architectures and operational best practices.
• Capability to provide technical leadership and influence without direct management responsibilities.
• Experience in developing operational documentation, technical procedures, and infrastructure runbooks.
• Proficient in PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in supporting manufacturing, plant, or operational technology environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure governance, policy management, networking constructs, and Microsoft Entra ID integrations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with MSP-supported operating models and vendor oversight is a benefit.
• Exposure to edge computing platforms is a plus.
• Relevant Azure or other cloud infrastructure certifications are a plus.
