Lead Engineer, Core Services Data Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of designated technology.

• Engages directly with both internal and external customers through email, phone, and instant messaging when appropriate, to gather requirements and offer solutions.

• Collaborates directly with vendors to address software configuration challenges.

• Takes initiative in monitoring and reporting on the performance and utilization of our team's servers and software.

• Diagnoses software and/or hardware issues and failures.

• Actively oversees problem tickets and tasks.

• Aids in developing tactical strategies, processes, and procedures related to systems and application administration.

• Works in partnership with other business lines on new projects.

• Writes and modifies scripts and artificial intelligence prompts for automating routine tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems, networks, firewalls, databases, SSH public/private key authentication, and PGP public/private key encryption/decryption.

• Experienced in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting networks and firewalls.

• Skilled in writing and debugging Windows batch and Linux bash scripts; proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript is a plus.

• Experienced in engineering prompts for AI large language models; automating processes using agentic AI; and reviewing the output generated by the AI LLM or agent to ensure the AI agent's actions align with intended goals.

• Familiar with public cloud services such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledgeable in RESTful and SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML.

• Capable of managing tasks independently and handling multiple priorities, sometimes under tight deadlines.

• Possesses effective interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with others.
