Lead DevOps Engineer, Data & AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Establish and execute a contemporary DevOps and platform engineering strategy that aligns with the objectives of data and AI platforms.

• Create roadmaps that integrate AI-enhanced development, testing, and operational processes.

• Regularly assess emerging technologies and integrate them as appropriate.

• Design and refine CI/CD pipelines utilizing AI-driven tools.

• Implement smart quality gates and automated failure diagnostics.

• Develop scalable automation frameworks using AI, scripting, and infrastructure as code methods.

• Analyze and enhance integrations across the Anglo American Data Platform.

• Generate and sustain clear documentation, including AI-assisted “how-to” manuals and self-service enablement resources.

• Work collaboratively with Data Delivery and platform teams to efficiently address issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

• Proficient in infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM, or similar)

• Skilled in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

• Comprehensive understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and release methodologies

• Experience with Azure services and cloud-native architectures

• Familiarity with data platforms (Databricks, ADF, Airflow, SQL, AAS, or equivalent)

• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, code assistants)

• Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps concepts (model deployment, monitoring, versioning)

• Proficiency in AIOps tools for monitoring and incident management

• Experience in integrating APIs or services to facilitate AI capabilities in workflows is advantageous.

• Capability to analyze intricate systems and enhance scalability and performance.
