This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and guide a team of DevOps engineers, offering mentorship, support, and technical knowledge.
• Design, build, and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate the processes of building, testing, and deploying applications.
• Prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining a strong focus on enhancing developer productivity.
• Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure to guarantee scalability, performance, and cost efficiency; familiarity with AWS is advantageous.
• Collaborate closely with SRE to develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to uphold the health and performance of our systems and applications.
• Work in partnership with the Security team to implement and uphold security best practices throughout our infrastructure and applications.
• Team up with software developers to enhance application performance and reliability.
• Engage in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, issues, and recommendations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to offer system support.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a DevOps role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proficient understanding of cloud concepts and services (EC2, S3, RDS, A/ELB, EBS, VPC, Route53 or equivalent).
• Advanced knowledge of Linux along with strong scripting abilities for automation and tooling.
• Capability to troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve, and document root cause analysis of incidents.
• Solid understanding of database configuration, concepts, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Security principles with experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring proper controls.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, SaltStack or equivalent).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, ECS, including managing microservices architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Proficient with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
