Lead Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Spearhead and define Unobravo’s strategy for data science and machine learning, driving quantifiable enhancements in therapeutic and commercial outcomes, including patient conversion, retention, and matching between patients and therapists.

• Take ownership of the ML/DS roadmap spanning various business functions, focusing on high-impact projects and ensuring models provide sustained, cumulative value rather than being mere isolated experiments.

• Establish and uphold responsible AI standards, which encompass model governance, explainability, fairness, GDPR compliance, observability, drift detection, and bias mitigation across different markets and patient demographics.

• Collaborate closely with clinical, product, marketing, commercial, and data engineering teams to convert business and therapeutic challenges into scalable ML solutions and actionable insights.

• Proficient in advanced Python and SQL.

• Experience in deploying production-grade machine learning solutions.

• Skilled in statistical analysis and experimentation.

• Knowledgeable in MLOps and machine learning observability.

• Proven experience in data science leadership and team management.

• Capable of prioritizing roadmaps and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

• Familiarity with responsible AI practices, bias mitigation, and model governance.

• Excellent communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
