This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and generative AI solutions that enhance financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate closely with Finance leadership and other essential business stakeholders to convert financial inquiries into rigorous data science challenges.
• Construct machine learning systems from the ground up and create scalable data science infrastructure that Finance teams can depend on.
• Strategically assess the most suitable modeling approach (traditional ML, forecasting, optimization, or Generative AI) for each issue, and design experiments to evaluate alternative strategies.
• Provide cutting-edge expertise in forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization, promoting best practices in financial modeling at ServiceTitan.
• Convert model outputs into actionable, executive-level business recommendations.
• Advocate for and implement long-term strategic projects that enhance the financial planning and operations of ServiceTitan.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to deploy models into production seamlessly, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Mentor team data scientists and raise the technical standards across forecasting, optimization, and GenAI initiatives.
• Develop innovative and creative solutions to current and future business challenges.
• 8+ years of experience as a data scientist creating predictive business models, with a minimum of 5 years focused on time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and/or optimization.
• Established history of delivering impactful, production-grade solutions.
• MS/Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong command of SQL and Python, with extensive knowledge of the data science ecosystem (e.g., PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM, scipy, statsmodels).
• Significant experience in building and deploying forecasting models and resource-constrained optimization models within production settings.
• Proven experience in applying Generative AI to real-world business challenges, including hands-on development and testing of GenAI solutions.
• Familiarity with building Agentic Workflows and implementing RAG architectures.
• Solid foundation in statistics, covering hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference to guarantee the reliability of analytical insights and model impact assessments.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure AI Studio, Foundry).
• Capability to merge model outcomes with a strong business understanding to generate actionable recommendations, especially in financial or operational contexts.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for finance and executive stakeholders.
• A proactive and collaborative approach.
