This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Design, implement, and enhance data science solutions throughout the organization.
• Promote best practices within the team.
• Collaborate closely with the Digital and Marketing teams to transform ideas into experiments and convert models into deployed product features.
• Facilitate technical discussions and champion engineering best practices across the team.
• Over 6 years of experience in Data Science / ML, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position focused on delivering production ML.
• Strong expertise in at least one area: recommender systems, experimentation platforms, growth analytics, or retention/churn modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and widely-used ML tools (such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or similar).
• Proven track record of linking models to outcomes (such as retention lift, conversion uplift, marketing ROI, operational efficiency, etc.).
• Familiarity with contemporary data stacks (cloud warehouses like Snowflake or similar, BI tools like Looker, ML orchestration/deployment tools).
• Ability to communicate trade-offs, uncertainties, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with confidence.
• A practical and collaborative approach—focused on optimizing for effectiveness, scalability, and adoption.
