Lead Data Platform Engineer – Azure, Databricks, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical evolution of the global data platform.

• Establish standards, architectures, and best practices for solutions built on Databricks and Azure.

• Serve as a technical reference for engineering teams, supporting architectural decisions and code reviews.

• Develop reusable components, frameworks, and accelerators to enhance team productivity.

• Conduct evaluations of new technologies, suggesting continuous improvements for the platform.

• Collaborate with architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to define the technical strategy.

• Support and mentor other engineers, sharing knowledge and elevating the team's technical maturity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience leading high-complexity technical initiatives.

• Background in defining architectures and standards for data platforms.

• Ability to influence technical decisions across different teams.

• Experience in performing code reviews and assisting in the development of other engineers.

• Familiarity with Databricks.

• Development experience in Python and/or PySpark.

• Knowledge of Azure.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD.

• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables (DLT), or Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).

• Proficient in English for a global work environment.
