Lead Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for data engineering projects and serve as a technical lead for clients.

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable data platforms and architectures that align with business objectives.

• Provide guidance and support to project teams by sharing your expertise, establishing best practices, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to convert business requirements into effective data solutions.

• Optimize and monitor data workflows to maintain performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends in data technologies and introduce innovative ideas into your projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions, platforms, and interfaces.

• Strong proficiency in data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and (de-)normalization.

• Practical experience with contemporary data technologies, cloud platforms, big data tools, and data warehousing.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, Medallion architecture, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric.

• Proven experience in guiding technical decisions, taking responsibility in project setups, as well as mentoring and advising team members.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders confidently.

• A consulting mindset, proficiency in German (C1 level), and English for effective stakeholder discussions.
