Lead Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for data engineering projects and serve as a technical lead for clients

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable data platforms and architectures that align with business objectives

• Provide guidance and support to project teams through your expertise, establishing best practices and ensuring high-quality outcomes

• Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to convert business requirements into solid data solutions

• Optimize and oversee data workflows to guarantee performance, scalability, and dependability

• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in data technologies and introduce innovative ideas into projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions, platforms, and interfaces

• In-depth knowledge of data modeling (including dimensional modeling, (de-)normalization, etc.)

• Practical experience with contemporary data technologies, cloud platforms, big data tools, and data warehousing

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, Medallion architecture, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric

• Proven experience in guiding technical decisions, taking responsibility within project setups, and mentoring team members

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders confidently

• A consulting mindset, fluency in German (C1 level), and proficiency in English for stakeholder interactions

• A passion for future developments and a strong desire to learn about innovative IT solutions

• Relevant certifications in Databricks and Microsoft Fabric (and MS Azure) are considered a significant advantage
