Lead Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of data engineering projects and serve as a technical lead for customers.

• Design, construct, and enhance scalable data platforms and architectures that align with business objectives.

• Provide guidance and support to project teams with your expertise, establishing best practices and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.

• Optimize and monitor data workflows to guarantee performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Stay updated on the latest trends in data technologies and incorporate innovative ideas into projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions, platforms, and interfaces.

• Strong proficiency in data modeling, including dimensional modeling and (de-)normalization.

• Practical experience with modern data technologies, cloud platforms, big data tools, and data warehousing.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, Medallion architecture, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience in guiding technical decisions, taking responsibility in project setups, and mentoring team members.

• Excellent communication skills, with confidence in engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A consulting mindset, fluency in German (C1 level), and proficiency in English for stakeholder discussions.

• A passion for future developments and a desire to learn about innovative IT solutions.

• Valid certifications in Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and MS Azure are considered a significant advantage.
