Lead Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assume leadership of data engineering projects and serve as a technical guide for clients.

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable data platforms and architectures that align with organizational objectives.

• Provide guidance and support to project teams with your expertise, establishing best practices to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to convert business requirements into effective data solutions.

• Optimize and monitor data workflows to guarantee performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Stay informed about the latest trends in data technologies and introduce innovative ideas into projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions, platforms, and interfaces.

• Strong knowledge in data modeling, including dimensional modeling and (de-)normalization.

• Practical experience with contemporary data technologies, cloud platforms, big data tools, and data warehousing.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, Medallion architecture, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric.

• Proven experience in making technical decisions and taking responsibility within project frameworks while also mentoring and guiding team members.

• Excellent communication abilities and comfort in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A consulting-oriented mindset, fluent in German (C1 level) and English for stakeholder interactions.

• A strong enthusiasm for future developments and a desire to learn about innovative IT solutions.
