This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Perform an extensive gap analysis and data mapping across 80+ ERP systems to uncover integration issues, data discrepancies, and transformation needs.
• Create and implement standardized ETL pipelines and data transformation workflows for migrating enterprise data into Microsoft Fabric.
• Establish robust data quality frameworks and validation rules to guarantee data readiness for AI and analytical workloads.
• Spearhead the hands-on execution of ETL standards and best practices, establishing repeatable patterns and automation scripts for multi-source integrations.
• Design and refine data models that facilitate smooth transformation from disparate ERP sources into a cohesive, AI-ready data architecture.
• Oversee the pilot implementation phase, testing and fine-tuning standards with real ERP data prior to full-scale deployment.
• Mentor and support team members on ETL development, data transformation methodologies, and Fabric-specific engineering practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document data lineage, transformation logic, and integration patterns for effective knowledge transfer and governance.
• Diagnose data inconsistencies and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data transformations, query optimization, and performance enhancement.
• Strong proficiency in Python for automation scripting, data pipeline development, and ETL orchestration.
• Proven hands-on experience in designing and executing ETL solutions in complex, multi-source environments.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise ERP systems and large-scale data integration scenarios.
• Solid understanding of the Azure ecosystem and practical experience with Microsoft Fabric for data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts and the capability to design schemas that support AI and analytics applications.
• Experience in data quality assessment, validation frameworks, and data profiling methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication skills with the capability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Proficient in English: Advanced level required for effective communication with global teams.
