Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and execute data solutions as a hands-on Data Engineer.

• Guide and mentor fellow engineers.

• Create comprehensive technical solutions while ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

• Program using Java, Python, and/or Scala.

• Collaborate with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.

• Write, troubleshoot, and enhance SQL queries.

• Effectively communicate with clients and present innovative solutions.

• Generate thorough documentation for solutions and integration processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a hands-on Data Engineer focusing on designing and implementing data solutions.

• Experience in leading teams and/or mentoring other engineers.

• Capability to develop end-to-end technical solutions for production, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Scala.

• Familiarity with core cloud data platforms, including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.

• Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.

• Proven client-facing written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in creating and delivering detailed presentations.

• Comprehensive solution documentation skills (e.g., including POCs and roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, logical system views, etc.).

• A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
