Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the team to establish objectives and deliver tailored data solutions.

• Innovate using new tools to enhance infrastructure and processes.

• Design and implement ETL processes, optimize queries, and automate data pipelines.

• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, engaging directly with clients.

• Mentor and assist team members, aiding them in deepening their expertise in Data Engineering and model design.

• Lead the development of data pipelines and provide guidance on technical decisions.

• Serve as a liaison between the team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment of goals.

• Promote team autonomy while facilitating effective collaboration.

• Contribute to technical research and stay ahead of solutions for upcoming projects.

• Prioritize code quality—review, document, test, and integrate CI/CD practices.

• Engage in candidate interviews and evaluations to support Mutt's growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in leading and mentoring teams on Data projects, guiding technical decisions, and nurturing team development.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and aligning priorities across teams.

• Background in Data Engineering, with experience in building and optimizing data pipelines.

• Proficient in SQL and Python (Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter).

• Familiar with any cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Knowledge of Docker.

• Experience using orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect.

• Understanding of ETL processes and automation.
