Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Lead the comprehensive data workstream within a significant transformation initiative.

• Design the integration layer that supports reporting and analytics on the client’s enterprise data platform.

• Expand the workstream and delivery team as the scope of the programme increases.

• Collaborate directly with client programme leadership and senior business stakeholders to align priorities and facilitate delivery.

• Propel requirements definition and solution design across the data landscape.

• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams across business and technology sectors.

• Manage risks, dependencies, and governance throughout the workstream.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong SQL proficiency for ETL, data modeling, and performance optimization.

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Architect, Data Delivery Lead, or Data Transformation Lead in delivering enterprise-scale data transformations.

• Experience in leading complex programmes with multiple, often competing, stakeholders.

• In-depth knowledge of modern cloud-based data ecosystems.

• Consulting-level communication skills — comfortable presenting to both senior business and IT stakeholders.

• Experience in managing distributed delivery teams.

• Over 10 years of experience in data engineering.
