This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that facilitate reporting, business intelligence, and predictive analytics throughout the organization.
• Upgrading repetitive manual reports by transforming Excel workbooks, manual data extractions, and redundant processes into automated data pipelines and scalable business intelligence solutions.
• Assisting the team in the production processes of predictive models, which includes model scoring, preparation of production data, and ensuring dependable operational execution of analytical models.
• Collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Advocating for data engineering best practices and promoting ongoing improvements.
• Significant experience in roles such as Data Engineer, Analytical Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, BI Developer, Reporting Engineer, or a similar position.
• Demonstrated success in designing, automating, and providing production reporting and analytics solutions.
• Expertise in SQL Server and database management.
• Strong skills in SQL Server development and database management, including crafting complex queries, optimizing performance, and supporting production reporting and analytical workloads.
• Capability to convert ambiguous business inquiries into efficient SQL solutions utilizing joins, window functions, CTEs, and effective data modeling principles.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and analytical workflows.
• Experience with Databricks for the development, maintenance, and support of production data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Proven experience in creating reports and dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Ability to design reporting solutions that are actively utilized by the business while effectively communicating the purpose and value of each report.
• Experience transitioning manual reporting processes to automated production solutions.
• Comfortable deciding when logic should reside in SQL, Python, or other suitable technologies for constructing scalable and maintainable data workflows.
• Experience in supporting predictive model production processes, which includes model scoring, preparation of production data, scheduling workflows, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable operational execution of analytical models.
• Ability to interpret an undocumented Excel report, including its filters, joins, date logic, and business rules, and accurately replicate it.
• A systematic approach to reconciling output against a baseline until all discrepancies are clarified.
• Proficient in gathering requirements and business rules from report owners who have a clear understanding of their needs but may lack insight into the construction process.
