This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Create, develop, and sustain automated data pipelines and analytical solutions.
• Streamline manual reporting tasks and repetitive data processes.
• Enhance SQL queries, data models, and processing efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of production data and model scoring for predictive analytics.
• Oversee data quality, resolve pipeline issues, and enhance reliability.
• Work collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders to provide scalable data solutions.
• Advocate for data engineering best practices and promote ongoing improvements.
• Extensive experience as a Data Engineer, Analytical Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, BI Developer, Reporting Engineer, or a similar role, with a demonstrated history of designing, automating, and delivering production reporting and analytical solutions.
• Proficient in SQL Server and database technologies.
• Strong skills in SQL Server development and database management, including crafting complex queries, optimizing performance, and supporting production reporting and analytical tasks.
• Capability to transform unclear business queries into effective SQL solutions using joins, window functions, CTEs, and sound data modeling techniques.
• Expertise in Python for automation, data handling, and analytical processes.
• Experience with Databricks for developing, maintaining, and supporting production data pipelines and analytical solutions.
• Proven track record in creating reports and dashboards utilizing Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Skill in designing reporting solutions that are actively utilized by the business and effectively communicate the objectives and benefits of each report.
• Experience in converting recurring reporting tasks from manual execution to automated production processes.
• Comfortable with determining the appropriate technology—be it SQL, Python, or others—to create scalable and manageable data workflows.
• Experience in supporting predictive model production processes, including model scoring, preparation of production data, workflow scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable operational execution of analytical models.
• Ability to decipher an undocumented Excel report, including its filters, joins, date logic, and business rules, and accurately replicate it.
• A methodical approach to reconciling output against a baseline until all discrepancies are accounted for.
• Proficient in gathering requirements and business rules from report owners who know their needs but may not understand the underlying construction.
