Lead Customer Quality Engineer – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Lead and supervise a range of quality assurance and technical activities.

• Ensure that nuclear fuel products fulfill the required quality and technical standards.

• Oversee teams in developing and implementing formal problem resolution strategies for intricate nuclear fuel projects to meet customer contractual obligations.

• Coordinate the management of customer nonconformances.

• Facilitate communication among the Fuel Department Manufacturing locations to identify any necessary quality and technical coordination when new customer nonconformance issues arise.

• Take charge of the coordination and management of nonconformance issues for fuel projects that affect multiple Westinghouse locations.

• Disseminate best practices and lessons learned across Global Manufacturing sites, including specifics on unusual situations, report compilation, and the management of corrective and preventive actions.

• Act as the accountable lead on the integration of customer requirements into product and process documentation related to product quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related technical field.

• Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality.

• Proficient knowledge and application of US NRC Regulations and European Standards.

• Familiar with NDE techniques and relevant practices such as SNT-TC-1A, ESPN / RCC.

• Experience in engineering, procurement, and operations within the nuclear industry.
