This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver first-line, client-focused legal assistance to our North America Sales teams regarding commercial and legal matters.

• Evaluate and negotiate various commercial agreements, such as SaaS agreements, master services agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, and statements of work.

• Collaborate closely with Sales and Deal Desk stakeholders to grasp business objectives and challenges, driving strategic enhancements.

• Partner with internal technology teams to create AI-driven tools and processes that yield significant business impact.

• Work alongside other legal, compliance, and cross-functional teams to prioritize customer needs while effectively managing HubSpot’s risk.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.

• Have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant in-house legal experience.

• Must be in good standing and licensed to practice law as a member of a State Bar Association or possess an equivalent professional qualification.

• Have substantial experience in independently negotiating Enterprise SaaS contracts, particularly in highly-regulated sectors (e.g., Financial Services and Healthcare).

• Possess excellent legal drafting and writing abilities.

• Have a strong background in data protection and privacy law.

• Be enthusiastic about collaborating cross-functionally with business stakeholders to grasp strategic objectives and provide informed recommendations for achieving business goals.

• Be capable of making decisions and offering advice, as well as explaining the rationale behind those decisions to a curious and empowered team.

• Be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment.

• Be excited to deliver solutions that transcend existing playbooks and enablement.

• Value the customer perspective and maintain a ‘solve for the customer’ mentality.

• Integrate technology and utilize/build AI in their daily practice to enhance efficiency.

• Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with team members.

• Exhibit strong communication skills, particularly through internal tools, Slack, and Zoom (our primary communication methods).

• Be self-motivated and solution-oriented.

• The cash compensation outlined below includes base salary, on-target commission for eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for qualifying positions.

• In addition to cash compensation, some roles may qualify for participation in HubSpot’s equity plan, which includes restricted stock units (RSUs).
