• Facilitate customer discovery meetings to identify reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with customers on Power BI Licensing, understanding the benefits and limitations of each licensing platform.
• Develop efficient star schema data models for Power BI, incorporating appropriate calculated columns and measures.
• Design Power BI solutions for clients, which includes importing data from various sources, creating reports and dashboards, and utilizing DAX and source queries for necessary data elements.
• Advise customers on how to deploy Power BI solutions to the Power BI service, including Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, and Data Updates.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 7 years of experience working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack for Business Intelligence (SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot (Excel), PerformancePoint), or other vendor Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP).
• 3 to 4 years of experience in team management.
• Proficient in TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools.
• Experience in creating comprehensive Power BI report solutions based on business inquiries, including linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
• Advanced DAX techniques for dynamic measure design.
• Familiarity with data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M language.
• Leverage the Databricks platform to develop, implement, and enhance data pipelines and workflows.
• Capable of reporting visual choices and interactions effectively.
• Design, develop, and implement user interfaces to ensure user-friendliness with minimal knowledge required from the functional workgroup utilizing the database.
• Skilled in gathering requirements and conducting focus groups to identify processes that support and advance business objectives.
• Strong desire to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral) and interpersonal abilities for engaging with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
• Analytical problem-solving skills; proficient in using technology to address business challenges.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Remote position with equipment provided.
• Work schedule: 5 PM - 2 AM, Monday to Friday.
