Lead Cloud‑Native Networking & Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the implementation of cloud-native networking components within AWS/Azure environments.

• Collaborate with CNI plugins and SR-IOV.

• Establish and execute network virtualization strategies utilizing OVS, OVS-DPDK, VMware NSX, or cloud-native overlay networks.

• Manage dynamic network provisioning, micro-segmentation, and service mesh/policy automation through SDN controllers.

• Direct performance benchmarking, network observability, packet tracing, and troubleshooting across multi-cloud environments.

• Work closely with platform, SRE, DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure networking reliability, security, and scalability.

• Facilitate the adoption of CI/CD processes for cloud network infrastructure.

• Document architecture, design decisions, operational guides, and standards related to cloud networking.

• Mentor a team of cloud/networking engineers, providing technical guidance during design reviews and incident analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of experience in cloud networking, cloud-native platforms, virtualization networking, or distributed systems architecture.

• Proficiency in AWS/Azure networking (including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, routing/firewalling).

• Familiarity with CNI frameworks such as Calico, Cilium, Amazon VPC CNI, and Azure CNI.

• Knowledge of SR-IOV and enhanced networking drivers in cloud environments.

• Experience with SDN controllers, policy engines, and programmable networking.

• Expertise in virtualization networking technologies like OVS, OVS-DPDK, NSX, and VXLAN/GRE overlays.
