This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Assists in the development and implementation of the cloud strategy within the existing IT framework of the organization.
• Addresses a variety of challenges that range in complexity from moderate to significant.
• Executes the organization's cloud strategy from a technical viewpoint, which includes the design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture.
• May collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to assess cloud systems and pinpoint suitable solutions.
• Works alongside product managers and engineers to create specifications for new cloud-based products, services, applications, and solutions.
• Leads the deployment of cloud management platforms, assesses their performance, and implements improvements.
• Advises executives in formulating functional strategies, often tailored to specific segments, on important matters.
• Utilizes independent judgment and decision-making skills on intricate issues related to job responsibilities and associated tasks, operating with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of progressive IT experience working as a senior engineer on large-scale IT projects.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in project leadership.
• Extensive practical experience in designing, deploying, and managing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficient in Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking).
• Strong background in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
• Comprehensive understanding of DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management.
• Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• A strong passion for contributing to an organization dedicated to continuously enhancing consumer experiences.
• Proven experience in leading cloud engineering teams or projects.
• Strong capability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Excellent collaboration skills, especially with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience in implementing security controls within cloud environments.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
