Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the deployment of cloud platform architectures across infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and observability.

• Collaborate with the Architecture team to assess proposed designs and offer insights on implementation and operational viability.

• Convert architectural guidelines into production-ready solutions emphasizing reliability & resilience, performance & scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work alongside CloudOps and Engineering teams to execute the roadmap and enhance the platform.

• Champion infrastructure as code and CI/CD automation through standardized Terraform modules, pipelines, and platform tools to elevate consistency, security, and operational efficiency.

• Act as the technical point of escalation for intricate cloud and platform challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles supporting production SaaS environments.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (primary) and Azure.

• Significant experience in implementing networking (VPCs, routing, firewalls, VPNs), storage (EBS, S3, FSx, etc.), and compute and container platforms (ECS, EKS).

• Advanced knowledge of Terraform, including module design and governance.

• Strong experience with CI/CD and automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy).

• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Azure Monitor).

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex production settings.

• Experience in supporting enterprise databases (SQL Server, Oracle).

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• AWS Solutions Architect certification, preferably at the Professional level.
