This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Design the Cloud Foundation: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Azure Landing Zone architectures.

• Establish "Paved Roads" for Cloud Enablement: Work together to improve reusable IaC modules and CI/CD templates.

• Promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Practices.

• Standardize Advanced Platforms: Streamline AKS and associated services.

• Encourage Platform Resilience and Scalability.

• Contribute to Team Excellence: Share knowledge through code reviews, troubleshooting, and collaborative sessions.

• Propel DevOps and Automation: Advocate for CI/CD and release strategies across the organization.

• Innovate with Identity and Emerging Technologies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cloud engineering (5+ years in Azure architecture/SRE).

• Hands-on experience in production-scale environments.

• Expertise in high availability and root-cause analysis.

• Solid background in Cloud Development and Architecture.

• Experience in managing projects of various scales.

• Proficient in essential Azure services: Landing Zones, AKS, VMs, Container Instances, Blob Storage, VNet, Entra ID, Policies/Blueprints.

• Design and manage IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions (Load Balancers, App Gateways, DNS, Front Door, Storage, Monitor, Security Center, Log Analytics).

• Mastery in IaC/CI/CD methodologies (Bicep/ARM/Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, PowerShell/CLI).

• At least 2 years of experience in automation for CI/CD.

• Core SRE knowledge: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, observability (Azure Monitor/Prometheus/Grafana).

• Security expertise: Defender, Sentinel, Key Vault; in-depth IAM knowledge (Entra ID, AD, Azure AD DS/Connect/B2C, MFA).

• Familiarity with enterprise account/security models; Azure Policy implementation; Key Vault/encryption.

• 2+ years of experience with O365 and Azure AD B2C; 2+ years with Kubernetes/Docker/Containers; 3+ years in Azure (Functions, API Management, Blobs, VMs, SQL, Event Grid).

• Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, operating systems, secure configurations; deep understanding of Azure/cloud.

• Skills in complex system problem-solving; container/microservices; translating requirements into architecture.

• Soft Skills: Effective communicator for partnerships/influence; adept in agile/blameless culture; change/incident management.

• Relevant Certifications: AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-400, CKAD/CKA; AZ-300 is a plus.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
