This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acts as the innovative leader in the development of Bioinformatics AI applications within a clinical genetic testing framework.
• Offers technical expertise and hands-on assistance in creating the company’s next-generation bioinformatics AI platform.
• Identifies, prototypes, and creates cutting-edge AI applications aimed at transforming clinical testing and genomic analysis processes.
• Designs, develops, assesses, and implements novel AI solutions to extract valuable insights from genetic, phenotypic, and clinical datasets.
• Reviews, adopts, and tailors GenAI models utilizing both internal and external datasets to construct advanced clinical genetic testing platforms.
• Facilitates both internal and external data needs by harnessing AI and GenAI capabilities to meet the growing demands of the organization.
• Collaborates within a multidisciplinary and regulated clinical diagnostics environment alongside geneticists, bioinformaticians, software engineers, and IT infrastructure experts.
• Master's degree or higher (PhD preferred) in Bioinformatics, Machine Learning and AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in bioinformatics, AI application development, machine learning, and/or genomic data analysis, including 3–5 years in a principal or leadership position.
• Practical experience in cutting-edge GenAI application development, LLM model tuning, agentic AI, and model context protocol (MCP).
• Proven track record in building and/or implementing innovative AI and GenAI solutions tailored for business-specific needs, particularly in clinical testing and genomic data analysis.
• Experienced in automated and scalable AI/GenAI application evaluation, development, and deployment in production environments requiring rapid turnaround times (TAT) and high reliability.
• Extensive background in human genetics/multi-omics data modeling and application development, especially involving next-generation sequencing data.
• Proficient in machine learning frameworks such as Huggingface, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Skilled in scripting languages, including Bash and Python.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data services (data lakehouse/data warehouse).
• Familiarity with context-aware OCR.
• Experience with databases, including SQL and no-SQL.
• DevOps experience, such as unit testing and CI/CD, is advantageous.
