📋 Description

• Lead the provision of strategic consultation to business clients in defining or designing business processes, functions, and organizational structures.

• Facilitate the development of highly complex enterprise business solutions that integrate knowledge of specific business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques.

• Lead and engage in enterprise strategy development, encompassing environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases, and the development of business innovation portfolios.

• Specify and design large-scale or the most intricate systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, or processes.

• Select appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, ensuring their effective application.

• Lead reviews of others’ system designs to guarantee the selection of suitable technology, efficient resource utilization, and integration of various systems and technologies.

• Establish policies for the selection of architectural components.

• Assess and conduct impact analysis on the most complex major design options.

• Ensure that the system architecture achieves a balance between functional requirements, service quality, and systems management needs.

• Utilize appropriate tools, including models of components and interfaces, to aid in the development of the most complex architectures.

• Produce detailed component requirements and specifications, translating these into comprehensive solutions/designs for implementation using selected products.

• Offer guidance on technical aspects of system development, integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.), and processes.

• Ensure the correct application of relevant technical and business strategies, policies, standards, and practices.

• Select and utilize tools and methods to establish, clarify, and communicate the functional and non-functional requirements of system users, their characteristics, and tasks.

• Identify the technical, organizational, and physical environment in which the most complex products or systems will function.

• Identify, propose, initiate, and lead significant improvement programs, taking responsibility for the quality and appropriateness of the work performed and the realization of measurable business benefits.

• Modify existing process improvement methodologies and/or devise new approaches to achieving improvements.

• Lead the resolution of a variety of architectural and business challenges, serving as a technical or business lead for highly complex project initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Manage the expectations of customers, partners, and management.

• Participate in customer walkthroughs and plans; design and technical walkthroughs; as well as problem resolution and decision-making processes.

• Interact with various departments across the organization as necessary, including the development and interpretation of highly complex requirements for peers and other staff.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of specific technical aspects within the area of expertise and provide expert advice regarding their application.

• Provide leadership and mentoring in areas of expertise and architecture to peers, developers, management, and business users, including technical expertise, coaching, and ad-hoc training by preparing presentations on complex issues in the area of expertise.

• Present to peers to ensure alignment with Highmark's strategic direction.

• Other duties as assigned or requested.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field.

• 7 years of experience in an IT discipline.

• 7 years of experience in a Business discipline.

• Preferred knowledge of the health insurance industry.

• Industry certifications such as TOGAF, along with certifications relevant to AI, API, Integration Architecture, Security Architecture, Java, and PEGA.
