• Collaborate closely with 3D Character Artists and Riggers to animate human characters and realistic (as well as fantastical) creatures for The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order (LoA:SO).
• Assist in establishing and leading a new Animation Team (previous experience in this area is optional).
• Participate in weekly team meetings and adhere to team policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and willingness to seek assistance when challenges arise.
• Strong grasp of human anatomy and movement dynamics.
• Proficiency in animating 3D characters.
• Expertise in animating quadrupeds and aerial creatures.
• Knowledge of traditional animation principles that contribute to realistic movement.
• Experience with non-gaming Non-linear Animation (NLA) systems and/or experience animating for games.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and deliver animations efficiently.
• Self-driven with the capability to resolve technical issues.
• Strong online communication (in English) and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for animation and commitment to producing AAA quality games.
• Optional: Experience in managing and organizing other animators, along with sufficient free time for communication and oversight.
• Optional: Skills in creating 3D character skeletons and rigs.
• Optional: Proficiency in skinning (weighting) 3D human characters and their clothing/armor.
• Optional: Ability to create skeletons and rigs for 3D quadrupeds and aerial creatures.
• Optional: Skills in skinning (weighting) 3D quadrupeds and aerial creatures.
• Recommended: Familiarity with Reallusion Character Creator 3 (CC3) and iClone 7.
• No relocation required.
• This is a volunteer position.
