Lead AI & Technology Risk Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead complex, agile technology and business audits independently with a focus on objectivity.

• Oversee the development and implementation of audit programs, which include drafting testing plans and acceptance criteria, conducting walkthroughs, identifying controls, and executing testing procedures for intricate processes.

• Utilize critical thinking, data analytics, and AI-assisted audit techniques to assess evidence, pinpoint root causes, evaluate risk levels, and propose enhancements to controls or processes.

• Employ tools such as Python, SQL, or visualization platforms to conduct full-population testing, anomaly detection, and pattern analysis.

• Effectively communicate with audit clients through sprint reviews and audit reports.

• Establish and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with both IT and business leaders.

• Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members within the audit team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• At least 1 year of experience in auditing, implementing, or assessing AI/ML systems, data governance frameworks, or advanced analytics platforms (Preferred).

• Core certifications (CPA, CA, CISA, CIA, or CFE) are mandatory for all new Lead Consultant roles and above, and must be obtained within 18 months if not already held.

• AI or data-related certifications are advantageous (e.g., ISACA Certificate in AI Fundamentals, ISACA Advanced in AI Audit [AAIA], AWS/Azure AI certifications, or applicable data science credentials).

• Understanding of AI/ML concepts such as supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and generative AI architectures.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or comparable tools for data extraction, analysis, and visualization.

• Familiarity with or a strong interest in AI governance principles, including fairness, accountability, transparency, explainability, and data privacy.
