Large Loss Contents Property Adjuster – Field Estimating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Manage escalated claims files that involve intricate contents damage.

• Perform in-depth coverage investigations to ensure proper application of policies.

• Utilize advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors, assess damages, and prepare contents damage estimates.

• Engage empathetically with customers throughout the claims process.

• Negotiate settlement agreements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.

• Collaborate with structure and ALE adjusters for comprehensive claim management.

• Leverage data and analytics to guide decision-making.

• Investigate property claims through meticulous damage reviews and policy interpretation.

• Accurately document claim activities in the claims system in a timely manner.

• Work Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with rotational Saturday or Sunday duties and extended hours as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in handling property insurance claims is preferred.

• Previous experience with estimating software such as Xactimate for complex contents estimating.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Willingness to travel as part of job responsibilities.

• Residency in the posted location is a must.

• Ability to work autonomously in the field or from a home office.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional context.

• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to work on rotational weekends and extended hours when necessary.

• Must acquire an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if mandated by the office/area.

• Must terminate existing insurance appointments and surrender a resident producer license when instructed, if applicable.

• A dedicated private workspace free from distractions is required when working from home.

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is necessary.
