This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Instruct online ELA classes with a focus on Reading & Speaking as well as Reading & Writing skills.
β’ Design and deliver cohesive lessons utilizing the curriculum resources provided by Think Academy.
β’ Actively engage and supervise a virtual classroom accommodating up to approximately 10 students.
β’ Assess student assignments, provide prompt feedback, and monitor student progress.
β’ Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding educational objectives and performance.
β’ Participate in regular training sessions for teachers, engage in curriculum discussions, and pursue professional development opportunities.
β’ Native-level English speaker with a strong command of American English.
β’ Experience teaching ELA in U.S. public, private, or charter schools is preferred, ideally focusing on grades 1-4.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in any field is required; majors in Education, ELA, or English are preferred.
β’ A solid understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing assistance.
β’ Proficiency in online teaching technologies and effective management of a virtual classroom.
β’ A passionate, student-centered approach with the ability to motivate young learners.
β’ Non-Teaching Fee: $16-20/hour; this includes class preparation and post-class services such as grading homework, responding to parent inquiries, and providing periodic feedback.
β’ Retention Bonus: Teachers can earn a retention bonus based on performance metrics tied to student retention.
β’ Additional compensation may be available for lesson planning, training, and teacher development initiatives.
