This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Lead engagement and relationship management with landowners.
• Act as the main point of contact for landowners during late-stage development, construction, and long-term operations.
• Provide clear and proactive communications regarding project schedules, site access, heavy construction activities, and operational milestones.
• Assist with Site Control Agreements and Contract Administration.
• Facilitate the execution of new site control agreements, amendments, and options in close collaboration with Legal, Development, and Land teams.
• Maintain a comprehensive operational understanding of site control documentation, lease obligations, critical option dates, and right-of-way terms.
• Aid in the negotiation and administration of landowner compensation related to construction impacts, damages, or scope adjustments.
• Keep detailed, auditable records in CRM and land management software, tracking communications, agreements, and critical dates.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of landowner engagement workflows, standardized templates, and best practices at the field level.
• Collaborate with Construction, Safety, and Operations teams to foresee site access challenges and promptly address landowner concerns on-site.
• Work with Communications and Legal teams to ensure consistent and compliant messaging that safeguards Intersect's long-term social license.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Communications, Environmental Studies, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of dedicated experience in managing landowner, landholder, or community relations for utility-scale clean energy, power transmission, or major infrastructure projects.
• Extensive knowledge of land agreements, real estate option exercise procedures, easements, title considerations, and mitigation of construction impacts.
• Practical experience in maintaining organized data and communication histories within land management software or CRM platforms.
• Outstanding interpersonal, active listening, and conflict resolution skills, with a proven ability to build trust with rural property owners.
