This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Execute KYC, CDD, and EDD assessments for both new and existing clients in compliance with GwG regulations.
• Evaluate customer ownership structures, business activities, and sources of funds/wealth.
• Perform periodic and trigger-based KYC updates to ensure customer profiles are accurate and current.
• Review and verify customer documentation, escalating any gaps or inconsistencies as necessary.
• Utilize a risk-based methodology for customer classification and ongoing monitoring.
• Identify and report financial crime red flags during customer onboarding and throughout the lifecycle management.
• Ensure KYC decisions are well-documented, justifiable, and in line with BaFin expectations.
• Assist in remediation efforts and regulatory assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to efficiently address KYC issues within service level agreements (SLAs).
• Accurately document reviews, outcomes, and risk decisions in required systems (e.g., LOCS).
• Contribute to ongoing enhancements in KYC processes and controls.
• Solid educational background; a degree in Finance, Legal, or a STEM field is preferred.
• Familiarity with German AML regulations (GwG).
• Proficient in the German language (C1 level or higher).
• Over 2 years of experience in KYC, CDD, or EDD within a banking or financial services setting.
• Experience in examining customer documentation, ownership structures, and risk indicators.
• Knowledge of client onboarding tools and KYC platforms.
• Strong comprehension of AML, financial crime risks, and regulatory requirements for customer due diligence.
• Ability to interpret and implement financial crime guidance and industry standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong analytical and investigative abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
