Manager, KYC Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and expand a team of KYC Operations Analysts, promoting high performance and operational integrity.

• Establish individual and team KPIs; deliver regular reports and insights regarding the status of KYC Operations.

• Supervise the comprehensive KYC review process for all MoonPay products, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

• Manage QA frameworks for the KYC team; assess output quality and enact corrective measures as necessary.

• Take ownership of and continuously enhance KYC operational workflows, procedures, and documentation, translating compliance policies into clear, scalable operational processes.

• Identify and suggest enhancements to tools, workflows, and automation, collaborating with Product and senior stakeholders to define, prioritize, and implement changes that minimize handling time and enhance the customer onboarding experience.

• Facilitate strategic alignment among Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations, actively influencing decisions related to customer due diligence requirements, risk controls, and future onboarding experiences.

• Serve as the operational domain expert on KYC for the team and related functions - the primary contact for process inquiries, customer escalations, and operational advice.

• Oversee daily operations with identity vendors, collaborating with Product and Compliance on vendor KPI performance, workflow logic, change management, and ongoing feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing or leading an operational team, with a history of enhancing team performance.

• Over 5 years of experience in KYC, AML, or financial crime operations within cryptocurrency, fintech, payments, or financial services sectors.

• Extensive knowledge in customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions and PEP screening, customer risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring.

• Strong skills in process design - capable of converting complex compliance requirements into clear, scalable operational workflows.

• Data-driven decision-making abilities; adept at setting KPIs, analyzing performance trends, and utilizing data to prioritize enhancements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, external partners, and front-line analysts.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams.
