Kubernetes Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee the complete lifecycle of prototypes, ranging from initial concept and lab establishment to software setup, troubleshooting, and comprehensive documentation.

• Determine material needs, including hardware, software, and additional staffing requirements.

• Ensure the final thin-line prototype is validated by both the Solution Architect and Engineering Leads.

• Act as a Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering architectural insights, technical direction, and best practices to engineering teams.

• Work in collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, and development teams to guarantee secure and compliant operations of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 to 13 years of relevant experience.

• Active Secret security clearance, with the capability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

• Extensive knowledge of enterprise Kubernetes distributions, such as RKE2 or other similar production-grade platforms.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes architecture, covering control plane components, worker node configuration, scheduling, networking, storage, and security aspects.

• Solid understanding of DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and best practices for container security.

• Exceptional troubleshooting, performance enhancement, and platform reliability engineering skills.

• Experience in deploying Kubernetes on-premises, preferably with Harvester.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

• Inquisitive self-starter who thrives in a prototyping environment, transforming customer needs into actionable solution candidates.
