Kotlin Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain APIs and microservices primarily using Kotlin and also Java.

• Enhance, integrate, and refine existing APIs.

• Diagnose and resolve issues in both production and staging/UAT environments.

• Engage in modernizing infrastructure on AWS.

• Develop unit tests prioritizing quality and coverage (using tools like SonarQube, JaCoCo, xUnit, and lint).

• Execute API, contract, and performance testing.

• Adhere to engineering best practices, clean architecture, SOLID principles, and object-oriented programming methodologies.

• Generate documentation and facilitate agile ceremonies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in developing and maintaining APIs and microservices utilizing Kotlin (primary) and Java.

• Skilled in building, integrating, and enhancing existing APIs.

• Capable of analyzing and resolving issues in production as well as staging/UAT environments.

• Experience in participating in the modernization of environments on AWS.

• Ability to implement unit tests with a focus on quality and coverage (using SonarQube, JaCoCo, xUnit, and lint).

• Knowledgeable in conducting API, contract, and performance testing.

• Commitment to following engineering best practices, clean architecture, SOLID principles, and object-oriented programming.

• Experience in Kotlin (primary), Java, Spring Boot, and Javalin.

• Familiarity with Postman + Newman, Robot Framework (Python), Pact, httparty, and Karate.

• Proficient in JMeter, SonarQube, JaCoCo, xUnit, and lint.

• Knowledge of Concourse CI and Bitbucket (Git).

• Familiarity with development environments including VSCode, IntelliJ, Android Studio, Xcode, and Atom (or similar).

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.

• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture and Clean Architecture, as well as Dependency Injection.

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps (VSTS), VersionOne, and Redmine.
