Kotlin Back-End Developer – Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial conception to deployment in both staging and production environments, with an emphasis on secure, robust, and continuous delivery.

• Act as the technical authority within the team, ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of services associated with card processing and financial transactions.

• Steer architectural and engineering choices, possessing a comprehensive understanding of technical trade-offs and assisting the team in selecting scalable and secure solutions.

• Foster development excellence by implementing advanced practices such as TDD/BDD, conducting code reviews, maintaining clean code, applying DDD, and achieving high coverage of automated testing.

• Engage proactively in the support and maintenance of systems that are operational in production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

• Familiarity with unit and integration test automation.

• Understanding of PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Cassandra.

• Experience using messaging tools such as Kafka, SQS, and SNS for effective integration and communication between distributed systems.

• Knowledge of observability patterns and practices.

• Experience with AWS Cloud services.

• Understanding of security protocols.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Expertise in agile methodologies and best practices for continuous improvement.

• Experience with high-criticality transactional processes.

• Comprehension of event-driven architectures and the management of asynchronous flows.
