This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Responsible for the development, operation, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise-wide knowledge graphs.
• Design and implement ontologies within the fields of tax, law, and finance.
• Create applications and services driven by knowledge graphs.
• Integrate and transform existing data silos into semantic data models.
• Develop and establish methods for quality assurance and validation, along with modeling guidelines, best practices, and documentation for ontologies and knowledge graphs.
• Monitor and optimize query performance and ensure system stability.
• Advance company-wide information management utilizing knowledge graph technologies.
• Connect knowledge graphs to AI and LLM-based systems to enhance intelligent applications.
• Collaborate closely with a team of Data Scientists, Data Architects, and MLOps engineers.
• Proficient in German, both spoken and written (C1), with good English language skills.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Semantic Web technologies, including ontologies, RDF, SPARQL, and SHACL.
• Multiple years of experience in developing and managing knowledge graphs or semantic data platforms.
• Strong programming proficiency, ideally in Python and/or Java; familiarity with other programming languages and ecosystems is also appreciated.
• Experience with Semantic Web libraries and frameworks such as RDFlib, RDF4J, and Apache Jena.
• Background in data engineering, including ETL processes and data pipelines (e.g., RML, Kafka).
• Confident in utilizing databases, data modeling, and SQL.
• Familiarity with quality assurance, validation, and performance optimization techniques for knowledge graphs (e.g., SHACL, query tuning).
