Kitchen Sous Chef – Fly-in / Fly-out

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive operation of food preparation and production.

• Handle ordering, scheduling, payroll, and aid in the training and onboarding of new staff.

• Support menu planning, recipe creation, new product evaluations, and recipe management.

• Organize the production of rotating menus.

• Monitor productivity and ensure adherence to Dexterra standards along with health, safety, and quality protocols.

• Provide employee training and support with an emphasis on continuous improvement.

• Plan and manage food requirements in accordance with purchasing and supply chain processes.

• Engage in cost and budget management with leadership to meet financial goals and uphold client satisfaction.

• Oversee human resources and manage potential conflicts.

• Guarantee food is prepared following MAPAQ and Dexterra hygiene and food safety guidelines.

• Ensure the safe and efficient use of cleaning products.

• Maintain professional relationships with both employees and clients.

• Incorporate dietary restrictions, including allergies and vegetarian preferences, into menu planning and preparation.

• Perform monthly inventory assessments.

• Capability to plan and manage rotating menu production.

• Proficiency in managing food purchasing and supply requirements.

• Skills to train and support employees effectively.

• Experience in conducting monthly inventory evaluations.
