This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Write, update, and maintain technical requirements for the Infotainment subsystem (and Cabin Thermal & Safety, if applicable) throughout the production phases.
• Conduct requirements elicitation through interviews and workshops with stakeholders.
• Utilize IBM DOORS for effective requirements management and traceability.
• Perform analysis of system requirements using established engineering methodologies.
• Collaborate on the design and development of hardware and software systems for infotainment.
• Support activities related to system modeling and architecture.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Design & Release Engineers (DREs) and System Architects.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot hardware and software system failures.
• Employ diagnostic tools to discover and resolve technical issues.
• Use IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) and JIRA for managing workflows, tasks, and issue tracking.
• Contribute to the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for infotainment components.
• Execute comprehensive testing to validate the functionality and reliability of systems.
• Perform DFMEA to identify and mitigate potential design risks.
• Create and maintain thorough records of diagnosed issues, implemented solutions, and established requirements.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, which includes specifications and reports.
• University Degree (Bachelor’s or Engineering) in relevant fields such as Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Requirements Engineering: Basic level (0–1 years of experience in defining, managing, and eliciting requirements).
• Requirements Management using IBM DOORS: Basic level (0–1 years of experience).
• Workflow Control using IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC): Basic level.
• Issue Tracking with JIRA: Basic level (0–1 years of experience).
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Basic level (0–1 years of experience).
• Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (HW/SW): Basic level (0–1 years of experience).
• Systems Engineering Methodologies: Basic level.
• Knowledge of Vehicle Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN): Basic level.
• Understanding of Embedded Systems.
• DFMEA Analysis: Basic level.
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS): Basic level.
• Basic knowledge of CATIA V5.
• Familiarity with Apple CarPlay / Android Auto: Basic level (0–1 years of experience).
• Basic proficiency in Programming Languages (Python, C/C++).
