Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, QA, Bug Fixes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate new software releases and existing functionalities.

• Deliberately challenge workflows to discover bugs.

• Conduct regression testing prior to releases.

• Generate thorough bug reports including reproduction steps, screenshots, and videos.

• Confirm that reported bugs have been resolved accurately.

• Test software across various devices, browsers, and user scenarios.

• Identify usability challenges and suggest enhancements.

• Investigate issues reported by customers and replicate them.

• Execute minor frontend and backend bug resolutions.

• Revise UI elements, validation protocols, and minor workflows.

• Support developers with testing and deployment validation.

• Aid in maintaining testing documentation and quality benchmarks.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong written English communication abilities.

• Capacity to analyze edge cases and atypical user behaviors.

• Fundamental understanding of web applications and SaaS offerings.

• Acquaintance with browser developer tools.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git.

• Ability to work independently during overnight U.S. business hours.

• Previous QA or software testing experience is preferred.

• Experience in writing bug reports is preferred.

• Familiarity with React, Node.js, or TypeScript is preferred.

• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or ClickUp is preferred.
