Junior QC Manual Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.

📋 Description

• Analyze and troubleshoot production challenges affecting live hiring events.

• Conduct functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for hiring event processes.

• Validate APIs and integrations utilizing Postman.

• Reproduce, document, and monitor defects through Jira.

• Collaborate with Client Support, GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to address client concerns.

• Oversee production systems and assist with incident triage and validation efforts.

• Validate backend data using SQL and resolve data inconsistencies.

• Aid in testing for architectural changes, integrations, and new platform releases.

• Investigate frontend and network-related issues through browser developer tools.

• Ensure prompt issue resolution while adhering to SLA commitments.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint testing, and release validation activities.

• Contribute to ongoing enhancements in testing quality, workflows, and platform reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or production support roles.

• Extensive experience in manual testing and end-to-end workflow validation.

• Familiarity with regression testing and release validation processes.

• Practical experience using Postman for API testing and response validation.

• Background in testing REST APIs and validating backend integrations/services.

• Proficient SQL skills for backend data validation and troubleshooting.

• Experience in documenting defects, test results, and workflow challenges using Jira.

• Strong grasp of business workflows, product functionality, and user journeys.

• Capability to design and execute effective test cases and validation scenarios.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional teams.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical abilities.

• Experience with WCAG standards and accessibility testing tools.

• Ability to work across multiple U.S. time zones (PST, MST, CST, EST).

• Familiarity with Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of Kafka and asynchronous workflow validation.

• Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment procedures, and release validation.

• Experience working with SaaS or customer-facing platforms.

• Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar.
