Junior QA Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager

• Collaborating closely with the Solutions Engineering, Post Launch Engineering, and Product teams

• Ensuring that the application and configuration adhere to the established standards set by Mako and the client

• Reviewing deliverables prior to each release

• Automating regression tests utilizing existing automation frameworks

• Engaging with team members including Sales Engineers, Solutions Engineers, Post-Launch Engineering, and Software Engineers to comprehend business, functional, and data modifications included in each sprint/release

• Grasping the documentation related to the business process review

• Creating and executing Test Plans to validate system changes and functionality, ensuring adequate coverage of features

• Identifying and tracking defects while providing reports on test outcomes

• Suggesting and institutionalizing QA best practices, methodologies, and tools

• Collaborating with the Solutions Engineering, Post Launch Engineering, and Product teams to enhance existing processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational qualifications in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related discipline

• Fundamental understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including assistance with test plans, test cases, and test execution

• Basic knowledge of testing web applications across various browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.)

• Strong skills in documentation, organization, time management, and communication

• Capability to quickly learn and retain technical information

• Passionate about developing QA skills and contributing to the success of the team

• Experience in test automation is a valuable asset

• Experience within the wealth management sector is also considered a plus

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous
