Junior Narrative Designer – Visual Novels

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the complete process of designing interactive romance pathways.

• Compile story scripts adhering to the specified formatting in Google Spreadsheets.

• Prepare visual references to accompany story scripts.

• Create interactive romance routes, including sequels and new narratives.

• Develop intricate romance plots and craft story summaries for writers.

• Collaborate closely with romance writers to maintain narrative and structural coherence.

• Revise and edit narratives to ensure an engaging emotional journey for players.

• Conduct Q&A on developed stories, reviewing builds and providing constructive feedback.

• Design new characters based on audience preferences.

• Ensure game documentation is maintained according to established standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of contemporary romance trends in media and popular culture.

• In-depth knowledge of what constitutes an excellent interactive story (emotional journey of the player, agency, immersive narrative, etc.).

• Strong skills in romance writing.

• Capability to create immersive interactive romance scenes and sequences.

• Proficiency in writing, iterating, and revising work under tight deadlines.

• Competence in using Google Suite, Slack, Trello, Miro, and Jira.

• A passion for mobile games and understanding of the audience.

• Proficient in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

• Basic understanding of the Ukrainian language is a mandatory requirement.
