Junior Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and contribute to the development of new features for our cross-platform TypeScript React Native application and Golang backend APIs.

• Oversee our release management process, utilizing tools such as cohorting, feature flags, and app-store infrastructure to ensure a secure rollout for our millions of active users.

• Foster a strong collaborative relationship with product, design, and business teams to ensure stakeholder requirements are assessed and fulfilled.

• Collaborate with the team to consistently produce clean, scalable, robust, and testable code.

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of your application, data domain, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in mobile development, with a minimum of 6+ months working with React Native or a comparable technology like Flutter.

• Proven experience in developing and distributing mobile applications on both Apple and Google’s app stores.

• Strong knowledge of modern Frontend Development, JavaScript or TypeScript, and creating applications using React Native or a similar cross-platform framework.

• In-depth understanding of React Native architecture, including hooks, context, navigation patterns, and performance optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL.

• Solid understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Appium, etc.).

• Proven ability to lead features through their entire lifecycle — from requirements gathering, design, implementation, deployment, to monitoring and enhancement.

• Skilled in conducting high-quality code reviews focusing on maintainability, clarity, and adherence to best practices.

• Influences technical decisions, recommends enhancements, and improves code quality across the team.

• Collaborates effectively with product managers, designers, backend teams, and QA specialists.

• Demonstrated experience using Claude or equivalent large language model tools is essential; candidates should be comfortable utilizing AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
