This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• The Junior Lead Project Engineer assists Project Managers and Supervisors in achieving the necessary technical design concepts, documentation, and performance for assigned projects. This includes the development and delivery of BMS software based on approved engineering documentation, in addition to leading and executing commissioning activities.
• Design and create technical concept BMS for building automation projects, including implementation and documentation. Identify customer needs and convert these into practical solutions.
• Generate detailed design deliverables based on specifications and construction drawings, which include schematics, component selection, system architecture, software control strategies, and third-party integration plans for HVAC systems. Take ownership of technical execution and ensure overall project performance.
• Lead and perform commissioning activities to verify system functionality, performance, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate and oversee both internal and external project engineering teams as necessary, while providing technical support throughout project execution and commissioning.
• Ensure all engineered solutions adhere to applicable standards and achieve the highest levels of performance, quality, and reliability. Provide clear handovers to engineering and implementation teams.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers, offering technical expertise to define, review, and refine project requirements. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and quality assurance activities.
• Function as a team player by actively sharing knowledge and experience within the engineering team. Engage in customer meetings and provide expert insights on automation solutions.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in complex BMS project environments, showcasing a proven ability to lead and take responsibility.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field through experience.
• Experience with building automation systems and third-party integration (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, DALI, KNX, etc.).
• Proficient in using CPO Studio and/or N4 for control logic development and configuration.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and the interconnectivity of remote systems. Demonstrates a proactive approach with a ‘can-do' attitude. Organized, logical, and capable of meeting agreed delivery deadlines.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to devise solutions for complex problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with Visio, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, EPLAN, or other design software is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
