This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support ongoing government initiatives and efforts focused on the development and maintenance of high-performing grants programs and projects throughout the agency.
• Offer direct assistance to the Grants Division to ensure the timely awarding of grants in alignment with the federal health mission.
• Achieve and deliver compliant pre- and post-award documentation and grants documents according to federal and DoD grants principles, including 2 CFR 200 and DoD Grants and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARS), as well as relevant laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Aid in executing grant award activities, such as gathering responsibility information, preparing award notices, distributing awards, and processing debriefing requests.
• Assist in the evaluation of grant proposals in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies, and evaluation criteria.
• Review requirements for new or follow-on grants, identifying potential issues to establish a clear mutual understanding of grant requirements.
• Present, analyze, and verify data, techniques, methodologies, and formats pertinent to grants management activities.
• Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership; manage correspondence and oversee task completion to ensure adherence to deadlines.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable federal and agency standards, policies, and procedures.
• Observe and uphold appropriate military and government protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience as a federal government and/or contractor employee in a capacity such as grants management specialist, grants analyst, or grants policy analyst (GS-1102, GS-1109, or equivalent).
• Knowledge or understanding of federal and DoD grants principles, including 2 CFR 200 and Department of Defense Grants and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARS), as well as relevant DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Knowledge or understanding of grants or assistance principles, laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Knowledge or understanding of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, with the capability to develop concrete action plans.
• Familiarity with budget and/or federal cost principles.
• Familiarity with federal grant/contract writing systems.
• Proficiency in SharePoint and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Adobe Acrobat.
• Prior experience with DoD, Military, or federal defense health agencies as a Grants Specialist or Contract Analyst (preferred).
• Experience in the GS-1102 or GS-1109 series (preferred).
